Similar to 6.1 this version has a known exploit fix so be sure to upgrade to this version as soon as you can.

One big annoyance is the new registration trial system. This time after 30 days, mIRC ceases to work unless you register it.

But for $15 or $20 it's worth it so all future versions will be registered and the notice will be gone.

Nothing much has changed from version 6.1 to 6.12 but I might as well as showcase the biggest changes and updates.

Options:

The notify list is improved and sports some new features such as two types of sorting.

Notify list:

The nick highlight options are now merged with the Address Book which makes no sense at all.

It should be in the Notify tab section but whatever works.

Colors:

The script editor is slightly different; you can now access it from Tools => Script Editors.

Script editor:

The new colors dialog now supports themes so you can choose a custom color set for each day of the week or for your own mood.

Colors:

A few key features in 6.12 include multiple file reading and writing, custom identifiers, popup warning if file is ignored, added a file attribute identifier, and more.

Please read the versions.txt for your version for more information since it would be too much to list.

Overall 6.12 is worth the time to install since it has the exploit fix.
